| Holy Cross Council
8509 was founded in 1983 through the efforts of Al Livelsberger, Tony Petite, John Logan Sr. and Phil Lamendola, among
others. It is named after the Church Parish, our home and spiritual
center. Holy Cross Council works closely with the Parish and within
the Kernersville Community. Each year, our council provides funding for local charities such as Operation LAMB, The Room at the Inn, The Shepherd Center, Crisis Control Ministries, as well as many others. We support seminarians through our RSVP Aluminum Recycling Program. We also support our local police, fire and emergency services personnel via cash donations, fund raisers and honor masses. Who are the knights? The Knights of Columbus is the world's largest Catholic family fraternal service organization with 1.6 million members. It provides members and their families with volunteer opportunities in service to the Catholic Church, their communities, families and young people. Membership Benefits As a member of the Knights of Columbus you and your family enjoy many benefits, including an annual subscription of the Columbia magazine, the world's largest Catholic family magazine issued monthly, eligibility to join the Knights of Columbus top-ranked life insurance program, and many more family and personal benefits.
